Home Remedies For Fever During Pregnancy

There should be an ultimate care taken on the mother during the time of pregnancy. Pregnancy is the period which deals with many physical changes in the women’s body. It is also revealed that any illness affecting the mother during the pregnancy time will also directly affects the baby in the womb. The major causes of the fever during pregnancy may be due to urinary tract infection, cold, listeria, gastrointestinal virus and other harmful bacteria. Some of the effective home remedies will help you to get rid of fever during the time of pregnancy.

  1. Raisins

Raisins are loaded with antibiotic properties which will help you to ward off the harmful infections causing fever. Using raisin as a remedy will add nutrients to the body and it balances the energy lost during the fever. Soak a handful of raisins in the water for a whole night and mash it. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice to the mashed raisins in the water and strain the liquid for consumption. Drink it twice a day.

  1. Mustard Seeds

Mustard seeds will provide an immediate relief from fever in the pregnant women and it helps to ward off the fungal infections. Add a teaspoon of mustard seeds to the boiling water and steep it for 5-10 minutes. After that strain the liquid and consume it twice a day.

Basil leaves are widely known for its medicinal properties. It is rich in antibiotic and antibacterial properties. Basil water will be very useful in fever times, add some handful of basil leaves into the boiling water, steep it for several minutes and strain the liquid.

 

Keep consuming the basil water regularly until the fever fades away.

  1. Vinegar Bath

Add some vinegar to the warm bathing water and take a good bath for 10-15 minutes. It will give you a comfortable feeling and cures fever in an effective way.
